J.D. Salinger

I think I could have gone the rest of my life only creating pieces based off of Salinger's work, somewhere along the line I got off of this track and now looking back it makes me want to paint his world again. I've always loved the visuals and feelings I get when reading his work, and when I look back at these paintings from college (circa 2006) I can still remember the world I was in when creating them.

Senior thesis based off of Franny & Zooey.
-Franny (A painting I've never been able to let go of, even after 3 sale inquiries)
-Zooey
-Buddy and Seymour's desks (wrap around book jacket)
-Glass Family portrait (Salinger in the back left)

For Esme, with love and Squalor
